MatMade started with a simple question: why is it so hard to find a BJJ gym that's actually a good fit?
When Kenny Kim moved to a new city and tried to find a gym, he spent two weeks searching through outdated Google listings, Facebook pages that hadn't been updated since 2017, and websites with broken links and wrong phone numbers. When he finally found a gym he liked, he had to call three times before someone picked up.
That frustration turned into MatMade — a directory built not for search engines, but for people who actually want to train.
What We're Building
MatMade is the most complete, most accurate, most up-to-date BJJ and martial arts gym directory in the world. We're obsessed with data quality — which means verifying listings, correcting outdated information, and making sure every gym that's listed actually deserves to be found.

Four seasons in, with over 2 million views, The Show has become something we're deeply proud of. Every episode is free. Every story is real.
